Ryan got his "mouth guard" in June as part of the ongoing mouth repair. He has an appliance that has expanded his upper jaw so it is the right size. The brackets around his teeth have little hooks to put the rubber bands on. This cool contraption is supposed to pull his upper jaw out so it will line up correctly to the lower jaw. Ryan chose red and since then, whenever he has it on we call him RyanMan. He has a great imagination and runs around with his "super hero" self on--but he doesn't do capes because those are only for bad guys. What a trooper!
